This beautiful well-bred gelding has flawless straight legs, balanced movement and a strong topline with all the shape you could ask for! Rocket is 100% sound with three lovely smooth gaits plus a fantastic jog. He has also been trained to sidepass and back up.  He will handle trail class obstacles like a champ, crossing bridges, etc. He has no scars, prior injuries or health issues.  We have raised him from a weanling and he is a versatile and family-friendly horse with the breeding and potential to succeed in the showring, 4H or Pony club. Rocket is the first at the gate to greet you and truly loves people and attention. He has been raised out in a small herd and respects his pasture mates and can be turned out with mares and geldings alike.  He loves kids and has been ridden by both kids and adults. He will stand on the cross-ties well for grooming and for the farrier. He is a happy-go-lucky guy with the cute personality you hope to find in any horse. Rocket is pleasure-bred but we have focused his training on the all-around.  We started him at 3 yrs to give him a chance to grow.  He takes on new challenges well and would be great at trail classes or the ranch riding/versatility classes. He has been trained in both Western and English, and while he needs more impulsion for English, he would be a lovely hunter with some finish work.  He has beautiful movement and can stay slow and steady in the arena or take a nice gallop around the pasture. He has also been used in our summer camps for the kids showmanship classes and is very easy and respectful on the ground. He is ready to continue his training and development for whichever direction his new owner wants to take him!  "Rocket" is an own grandson to the late AQHA  World Champion, Zips Chocolate Chip.  He is the winner of the AQHA World and All American Quarter Horse Congress as well as the National Snaffle Bit Hall of Fame.  His offspring have amassed over 44,000 points and 20 AQHA World Championships.  He was a 2017 inductee to the AQHA Hall of Fame and there is even a Breyer horse named after him! He is truly a legend in the AQHA Western Pleasure discipline. Rocket's great-grandsire, Sky's Blue Boy, has sired offspring with 260 World and Reserve World championships.  He was a two-time Congress "Hunter Under Saddle" champion as well as one of the all-time leading sires of AQHA open English class winners."
